Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaker. Feminist Frequency is a website with video and blogs analysing portrayals women in the media and in popular media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American blogger and media critic who has been awarded awards for her writing, is a feminist blogger. Feminist Frequency an online platform to educate about gender roles within pop culture, is managed by Sarkeesian. Committed to deconstructing the stereotypes about women and popular culture, she works on issues related specifically to the harassment of women and the other minorities of the Internet area. Sarkeesian is a graduate in political and social thinking at York University. As a public speaker, she's highly sought after and has given talks at TEDxWomen XOXO, TEDxWomen and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Attracted to issues related to gender identity and feminism from her early years, she founded her site Feminist Frequency in 2009 when she was studying at the university. The ambitious lady planned to launch a web series that would examine gender representation in video games. She found herself at the center of an online harassment campaign.
