Kari Samantha was an American actress, singer (born on April 28, 1967). Wuhrer first began her acting career in her teens. She was best known as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. There are three siblings. As a teenager was a nightclub singer, sneaking out of the family home to perform. She studied acting from the age of 13 at the Wooster School. She then pursued drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts alongside renowned teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer, a model from Connecticut is an American model, actress, and singer. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on April 28, she was raised there. Her mother works as an accountant for payroll, while her father, a German-American, is a police officer and auto salesman. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. As teenager, she would perform in clubs by taking a break from home. Kari began acting at the Wooster school when she was thirteen, and went on to study drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the famous Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was in her teens, her first television appearance from 1987's MTV Remote Control.
